Every Hike is Unique

We choose the route based on your group’s wishes, fitness level, and the conditions on the day. These are a few of our favorite trails:

Tindfjallahringur Loop (8-12 km) – A journey through wild Þórsmörk, weaving between valleys, birch forests, and ridgelines with sweeping views of Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull glaciers. This route captures the contrasts of Þórsmörk—peaceful, dramatic, and always surprising.
Hvannárgil Canyon (6-8 km) – A hidden gem of Þórsmörk. This narrow canyon hike follows riverbeds, climbs ridges, and rewards you with breathtaking views of glaciers, valleys, and untouched landscapes. It’s a trail for those drawn to Þórsmörk’s more secretive corners.
Hestagötur Trail (9 km) – A route shaped by history, following old sheep paths through birch forests and rocky ridges, with close-up views of glaciers and remote valleys. Quiet, scenic, and deeply connected to the land.

The minimum participant count for each tour is specified in the tour description on our website. Should the minimum not be met, you'll be presented with two options: an alternative trip or a full refund.

Cancellation Policy

For all-day tours operated by Midgard Adventure:

Cancellations made more than 5 days before departure will be refunded, minus a 10% transaction and service fee.
Cancellations made less than 5 days before departure are non-refundable.
